Alison Pill
Pill began its journey in Canadian productions and had to wait a few years before breaking through to the American market. Bruce Gray starred on an episode of the Canadian show Traders. Pill got an appearance on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation featuring Wallace Langham and Liz Vassey in "Would, Could, Shoulda" co-written with Naren Shankar, and starring Michael Ensign and Michael G. Hagerty. Pill was a character on Picard for a year, then appeared as a supporting role in Devs, a science fiction miniseries produced in collaboration with FX Productions and Hulu. The actress played the same role, Katie, in each episode, as she did in Picard. The similarities between the show and its predecessor did not end at that point. Pill was made aware that the central theme is the preservation of the consciousness of a human in a computer creation, similar to what Data played in the film's Season 1 finale "Et In Arcadia Ego Part 2."
